Now is the time to rethink and redesign the future. In a turbulent world, conventional modes of thinking and acting are no longer fit for purpose. 

There are no future facts.

And yet decisions must be made and actions taken. A better approach combines long-term thinking and adaptive strategy—so you can move forward with greater clarity and adjust as conditions change and you learn more. 

My work traverses multiple disciplines: foresight to anticipate and envision alternative futures, complexity science to make sense of the present, and strategic design to envision possibilities and catalyze action. A designer and strategist by training, I earned a MFA in design from Cranbrook Academy of Art and a MS in strategic foresight from the University of Houston.

This is where I share my independent thinking and design work—emerging ideas, work in progress, applied methods, and visualizations, with new posts each week and long-form pieces a few times a year.
